    Introduction

The Agri-Food system is crucial in ensuring food security, health, nutrition, and environmental sustainability. Multiple-win measures, including changes in production structure and practices, transition in consumption behaviors and dietary choices, improvements in food value chains (storage, logistics, etc.), innovations in technology, agricultural policies and R&D investments, and many others, can not only increase the added-value of the food supply chain and improve the consumption of healthy and nutritious food, but also reduce negative environment impacts. Scholars from China and abroad have conducted extensive research in various fields such as resources and environment, agricultural products, nutrition and health, but few literatures have focused on practical issues such as how to balance the tradeoffs and synergies of food production and climate change, provide affordable food and healthy diets, and stabilize food supply with fair and open trade.
