 Highlights

In wheat, the G2084S substitution renders ACC1 insensitive to the herbicide quizalofop-p-ethyl (QPE).

In hexaploid wheat, stacking the G2084S allele across subgenomes confers enhanced resistance to QPE.

A low-dose (250 ppm) of QPE can effectively control weeds in wheat fields without causing a yield penalty.
