Agricultural Sciences in China
Scientia Agricultura Sinica and its English version Agricultural Sciences in China are the monthly official publications of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). The members of the Editorial Board are famous agricultural scientists from China and abroad. The Editor-in-Chief of the journals is Dr. Zhai Hu-qu, the president of CAAS, the Associate Editors-in-Chief are Dr. Liu Xu, the vice president of CAAS, Dr. Qu Dong-yu, the vice president of CAAS, Dr. Guo Yu-yuan, Professor Academician of Chinesse Academy of Engineering, CAAS, Dr. Geng Shu, University of California, and Dr. Xu Shi-wei, the director of Scientech Documentation &Information Center of CAAS.
Scientia Agricultura Sinica was awarded the National Journal Prize in 1999 -- 2004, which is the highest for journals in China. In 2001, it was selected from 1,500 natural scientific journals allover China to be a member of the Top 30 Journals Squad by Press and Publication Administration of China. Since 1999, it has gained national funds provided by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The impact factor of Scientia Agricultura Sinica is continuously at the top of all the agricultural journals from 1997 to 2005 in China.
Agricultural Sciences in China published initially in January, 2002. About 60% of the articles in ASC is selected and translated from its Chinese version, Scientia Agricultura Sinica, another 40% comes from the contributions home and abroad. The newly-born ASC has made great progress in these three years, and has been included by Abstracts Journal, Zoological Record, Food Science and Technology Abstracts (FSTA), CABI and the main indexes in China.
To be an academic, theoretical, comprehensive and international journal is our objective. The journals aim to publish original researches in agriculture and animal husbandry, providing a forum for scientific papers. Scientia Agricultura Sinica and Agricultural Sciences in China welcome the results of: all related areas home and abroad. Applications may involve original researches under the headings of Crop Genetics & Breeding, Germplasm Resources, Molecular Genetics, Tillage & Cultivation, Physiology & Biochemistry, Soil & Fertilization, Plant Protection, Environment, Ecology, Horticulture, Storage, Fresh-keeping, Processing, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Resource Insect, Review, Monograph and Research Notes.
